After hypnotizing America’s Got Talent (AGT) – Season 17’s jury, earning the Golden Buzzer during the auditions, and showcasing brilliantly in the semi-finals and finale stages, Lebanon’s Mayyas Group was crowned the winner of AGT 2022!
The group takes home a $1 million prize, as well as gets the opportunity to headline a Las Vegas show.
During the two-hour finale show, 11 finalists performed for a final time. The Mayyas took the stage alongside Kristy Sellars (who finished as runner-up) for an astonishing performance, for which AGT judge Simon Cowell gave a standing ovation.
This win came after The Mayyas wowed the American voters during their performance during the finale, which all the judges agreed that it was phenomenal.
For three performances, the choreographer Nadim Cherfan and The Mayyas girls have brought the best they can to create dream-like choreographies, leaving the judges and the whole AGT audience speechless.
The Mayyas group has revived a sense of pride and patriotism in all the Lebanese people, especially the Lebanese expats in the U.S. who proudly waved the Lebanese flag high up on live TV.
