That characteristic is evident across various fields in Lebanon, not only in arts and fashion but also in the art of surviving, to name only the basic.
And when it comes to the creativity of fashion, well… Lebanon has a bright list internationally. Krikor Jabotian is one of our famous designers in that list.
Upon graduating from the fashion school ESMOD in Beirut, Krikor Jabotian began his career working with none other than our internationally reputable Elie Saab.
At the age of 23, he launched his own first collection. From then on, he boomed in the fashion industry and there has been nothing that could stop him as he climbs the ladder of fame, dressing up royalties and celebrities.
Recently, he was awarded by Fashion Trust Arabia the ‘Best Designer in Evening Wear’ award. His distinctive styles dominated and awarded him one of the highest honors in the fashion industry.
He incorporates refined craftsmanship and demands attention to the last detail; one of the many reasons why he was awarded this prestigious award.
“Royalty is completely different than celebrity. Royalty has a magic all on its own,” Krikor Jabotian said about Queen Rania of Jordan, wearing his haute-couture design.
Jabotian’s designs have been featured in various fashion magazines in Europe and in the cover of Harper’s Bazaar of Serbia just last month.
Vogue Arabia is another prestigious fashion magazine that had him on the best-dressed list for dressing up Kelly Rowland, the Destiny’s Child singer, at the Baby2Baby charity gala in Los Angeles.
Krikor has received international recognition from many celebrities around the world. For her performance of ‘My Heart Will Go On’ by Celine Dion, for instance, Jessy J made a superb impression wearing one of Krikor Jabotian’s designs.
Another VIP who recently shone out in Jabotian’s design is Chabi Nouri, the CEO of Piaget, at the Cannes Film Festival, impressively elegant in an off-white gown with eloquent refined details.
Krikor Jabotian is another Lebanese-Armenian who make us proud across the world.
He has been an elegant contributor to shining the Lebanese name international with his graceful designs that are said to “empower women and bring out a royal strength from within.”
This is no doubt, considering Lebanon has always had a knack at birthing elegantly creative fashion designers, among which Elie Saab, Reem Acra, George Chakra, Zouhair Mourad, Rami Kadi, and Andrea Wazen, to name a few.
