1Tribe (spelled “One Tribe”) is a class-based boutique fitness studio by university professor Dr. Evan Fakhoury. This new gym concept is all about providing a complete training experience with a scientific twist.
The studio is an exclusive space with a maximum of 10 to 12 members only per session. After booking their session, a person gets their own box and their own fully equipped gym from dumbbells and kettlebells, to an Olympic barbell and plates, a box, TRX, resistance bands, and their own cardio machine.
1Tribe follows the notion of “No sharing, no waiting” in its studio to give the person a new and different gym experience.
The gym, which is located in Beirut (Hotel Dieu Street), has a setting similar to that of a club, with custom lighting and music designed to make the person let go of the outside world and push as they’ve never pushed before.
There is also science-based programming delivered onto the class screens to let the person know what to do and when. The gym provides a new class every day with a specific focus on everything ranging from cardio endurance to muscular strength to mobility and core.
Dr. Fakhoury explains that “finding the time, motivation and energy to do any fitness activity is difficult these days. Everyone is so busy, working long hours, running businesses, taking care of the kids, you name it. It becomes a challenge to train.”
He further stresses that “people need a safe haven, a place to train with like-minded individuals, a second home, a place where the programming is already done, a simple yet efficient in n’ out system designed to deliver results, a place where the second you walk in, you get pulled into this dark, exciting, intoxicating ambiance that really just puts you in a new mindset.”
Training sessions in 1Tribe will make you feel “like a new you, every single time”. And, according to Dr. Fakhoury, “THAT is the 1TRIBE effect”.
