The Lebanon team won the 2nd Prize Award in the Practice Competition, during the Global Finals of Huawei ICT Competition 2021-2022, which was held in Shenzhen, China.
Among 150,000 students from more than 2000 universities in 85 countries who participated in the competition, the Lebanese team was able to shine brilliantly.
The competition was classified into three categories, training, innovation, and technology in the networking fields of networking, cloud computing, big data, as well as artificial intelligence.
Lebanon team members were Alain Nohra from the American University of Science and Technology (AUST) and Mohammad Dabaja from the Lebanese University (LU).
Both Nohra and Dabaja participated virtually from Huawei’s head office in Lebanon with support from the Huawei team.
“A Lebanon-based team was also one of the two teams from the Middle East to be shortlisted amongst the top ten finalists in Huawei’s inaugural Tech4Good Global Competition 2022,” the CEO of Huawei in Lebanon, Aiden Li, previously announced in a statement.
