A nonstop route would significantly reduce travel time while making it easier for the hundreds of thousands of Lebanese living across the United States to visit family, explore Lebanon, and strengthen business and tourism ties between the two countries.
The announcement comes as Lebanon continues efforts to revive tourism, attract investment, and rebuild international confidence.
If implemented as announced, it would mark the return of direct air links between Lebanon and the United States for the first time in decades.
This reignites hope for efforts made over the past years by the Lebanese community in Canada to reinstate direct flights as well.
