Lebanon’s Caretaker Minister of Public Works and Transport, Ali Hamieh, announced a significant initiative to restore lighting in Cocody Airport’s tunnels using solar energy.
The ministry commenced installing solar panels at the airport and equipping the tunnels with custom lights on November 13, 2023. The project kicked off on the eastern route towards Beirut, followed by the western route towards the south.
Hamieh urged citizens to follow the guidelines issued by the Internal Security Forces, emphasizing the importance of this eco-friendly advancement.
