The General Manager of the Children’s Cancer Center of Lebanon (CCCL), Hana Chaar Choueib, won the 2022 Best CEO Award for UICC member organizations at the World Cancer Congress conference.
“In Hana, there was a selfless advocate who steered her organization in Lebanon through several crises and ensured the continuity of care and psychosocial support for children with cancer in her country,” said UICC’s Past President, Professor Anil D’Cruz.
Decades ago, Hana helped in establishing the Children’s Cancer Center of Lebanon, which is now one of the leading institutions in Lebanon and the region.
Inaugurated in 2002, the NGO is dedicated to the treatment of kids and adolescents with cancer, and serves as a national advocate of childhood cancer control and promotes awareness about childhood cancer.
Hana Chaar Choueib is also a Board of Directors Member at the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC).
