Lebanon earned the first medal in the Islamic Solidarity Game (ISSF), which is held in Konya, Turkey, through the Taekwondo champion, Laetitia Aoun.
According to the Lebanese Olympic Committee, Laetitia scored the bronze medal in Taekwondo, which makes her the first Lebanese to win a medal during the tournament.
This is not the first time that the young athlete raises the Lebanese flag in international championships.
She previously won the bronze medal at the 2022 Chuncheon Korea Open International Taekwondo Championship.
She also won bronze medals at the World Championship and Asian games, silver medals at the Asian Championship, and a gold and silver medal at the Arab Championship.
