Gelato Show, a pastry-coffee shop across Lebanon, is serving Cerelac ice cream and it’s taking Lebanese social media by storm.
I couldn’t resist and had to give it a try. Honestly, it’s not what I expected.
From the looks of it, I wasn’t expecting much – just a swirl of ice cream with some Cerelac powder on top… but I judged too quickly.
The Packaging
The mix comes in a plastic cup placed in a simple Cerelac-branded box.
The light blue has the Gelato Show branding along with the Cerelac baby bear. Immediately, I was reminded of my childhood in Lebanon seeing the Cerelac bowl.
The Taste
In my mind, I was expecting ice cream with Cerelac powder as mentioned, but no. Specifically, the portion I was served is a fusion of brilliant Cerelac merry cream with Cerelac powder on top.
For those who tried it, you could say it is your typical ice cream, but for me, it was more than that. With every spoonful of this tempting blend, I felt a nostalgia evoking in me. I recalled myself as a child tasting this truly delightful combination.
Do I recommend it?
