Turkey Says It's Working To Prevent The War From Spreading To Lebanon

Turkey's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan arrived in Beirut and held a press conference with his Lebanese counterpart, Abdallah Bou Habib.

Fidan emphasized that Turkey is doing everything possible to prevent the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas from spreading to Lebanon .

He also revealed that Turkey has been in contact with Hamas regarding some 200 Israeli and foreign captives in Gaza.

The situation is tense as Hezbollah and other Iran-backed groups could escalate the conflict with Israel, potentially leading to a broader war. Israel has warned that if Hezbollah opens a new front, Lebanon will face severe consequences.
