Louis Vuitton Is Producing Hand Sanitizers Instead of Perfume to Give Out For Free
COVID-19 active cases in France have exceeded 5000 with more than 1200 deaths. The country is at the 3 rd stage emergency due to the coronavirus crisis.
The French government has already shut down schools and banned gatherings with more than 100 people, and the French people were mandated to limit their social lives by closing all social venues.

The government has advised their people to regularly wash their hands, and also sanitize them thus leading to a shortage of anti-bacterial gel.
In light of this event, Louis Vuitton (LVMH) has instructed its perfume and makeup factories to halt manufacturing all such products and manufacture instead anti-bacterial gel to resolve the shortage.

With cases in Europe increasing remarkably quickly and a clear shortage of anti-bacterial gel, more similar luxury brands like Christian Dior, Guerlain, and Givenchy, among others, have started to mass-produce hand sanitizers in their factories.
These luxury giants will be distributing their hand sanitizers to the people free of charge through the French government, with priority given to Parisian hospitals.

The statement issued that the priority goes to the Assistance Publique-Hôpitaux de Paris.
“Through this initiative, LVMH intends to help address the risk
of a lack of product in France and enable a greater number of people to
continue to take the right action to protect themselves against the spread of
the virus,” the statement read.
LVMH stated that it will “continue to honor this commitment for as long as necessary while working closely with the health authorities in France.”
