Lebanon Will Limit The Number Of People That Can Enter The Country
Lebanon will be making a major effort to reduce the number of coronavirus cases by imposing restrictions on travelers as part of the new nationwide lockdown .
That includes limiting the number of people entering the country via the airport as well as land borders, during the new lockdown.
Rather than closing the airport altogether, the Prime Minister's press office announced that the total amount of arriving passengers at the Beirut-Rafic Hariri International Airport will be reduced to 20% of that of January 2020.
All passengers will have to undergo a PCR test upon arrival and a second one a week after arriving. Travelers will be obliged to quarantine in a hotel to await the result of the first test and then self-isolate until receiving the second result.

In addition, all land border crossings (from Syria) will be limited to twice per week.
The lockdown will begin on January 7th until February 1st with a nightly curfew from 6 p.m. till 5 a.m. in addition to the odd-even license plate rule.
Lebanon is set to receive its first batch, around 60,000 doses, of the vaccine by mid-February.
