Local Lebanese-Owned Store Attacked During Protests In Washington DC
A Lebanese-American family-run business has sadly had to close up one of its locations after it was destroyed during demonstrations in Washington D.C.
Sadly, LEBTAV is one of several businesses that were attacked during country-wide protests that sparked over the unjust killing of African-American George Floyd.

Owned by the Abi-Najem family, LEBTAV is part of the Lebanese Taverna Restaurant Group and is said to be serving the "Best Hummus Since 1979," according to the post.
The group has been serving the nation's capital for nearly four decades across 12 locations and has gained popular acclaim for its delicious Mediterranean cuisine.
To the vandalism, the restaurant has responded with grace and peace, writing: "Our doors are closed but our hearts remain open."

Recently, a prominent Lebanese church in Los Angeles was also vandalized during the protests.
The United States has not yet recovered from the COVID-19 threats when the protests broke out.
