Beirut Airport Will No Longer Allow You To Greet Or Wish Farewell To Loved Ones From Inside
In order to limit the spread of COVID-19 , new rules were put in place preventing people from welcoming or saying goodbye to their loved ones inside the airport.
Starting Monday, people are no longer allowed to enter the arrival/departure halls at the Beirut-Rafic Hariri International Airport.
A statement from the General Directorate of Civil Aviation made clear that the halls were exclusively for arriving or departing travelers, official agencies, or employees of airport companies.
Recently, large crowds have been spotted at the airport as families reunite with loved ones arriving from abroad without following proper health guidelines against the coronavirus .
Despite - or perhaps due to - the deteriorating conditions, many expatriates are returning to spend time with their friends and families who have been struggling in Lebanon.
