In support of the families affected by the August 4th explosion that inflicted a significant amount of damage and caused numerous casualties, Pampers is donating diapers to Lebanon.

The blast has had an enormous effect on the lives of countless people in Beirut, many of whom were forced out of their homes.

“Beirut, we are with you,” Pampers Arabia said in a social media post in which the popular baby and toddler products brand extended its support to the Lebanese capital by announcing a donation.

“Our purpose is protecting our little ones! As part of P&G’s $1 million promise to rehabilitate and rebuild Beirut, Pampers is supporting impacted families by donating 1 million diapers.”

The American multinational company is marketed by Proctor & Gamble (P&G), which recently shared a similar message about Lebanon and pledged $1 million to help undo the devastation that overcame its capital.

Notably, out of the 300,000+ people that got displaced by the massive blast, 100,000 are children, according to a recent report.

This unfortunate reality prompted UNICEF to appeal for over $40 million to provide the support that these children will need over the next few months.

In addition to suffering injuries and losing their houses, many children have been scarred by the overall harrowing experience of the explosion, which has had a terrible psychological effect on many people.

For this reason, a major NGO is working to provide emotional and mental support to youngsters who need it.

On a similar note, a student-driven initiative was inspired by the explosion and is helping affected students recover and prepare for the upcoming academic year.
