Iraq is sending its second shipment of gas oil to Lebanon. The oil-producing country will send 30 trucks with over 1 million liters of fuel to support the Lebanese people during these hard times.

Lebanon’s capital Beirut was recently devasted by an explosion that caused the unimaginable loss of lives and properties.

The country was already enduring an economic crisis, which led to fuel shortages and abnormal electricity cuts.

Lebanon had recently been in the process of making fuel deals with both Iraq and Kuwait, which are presumed on hold at this stage as the country is trying to overcome the catastrophe.

The second round of fuel comes after Iraq recently announced that it will send more than 13,000 tonnes of wheat to Lebanon. During the explosion, Lebanon’s only grain silo was destroyed, wasting away the national wheat reserve.

Iraq has also provided urgent medical equipment and health supplies the day after the explosion at the Beirut port.
