A Bangladesh Air Force plane touched down in Beirut on Monday to deliver food and medical aid as well as to return its nationals back home.
The blast last Tuesday killed over 160 people, among them were at least four Bangladeshi migrant workers.
The blast also damaged a Bangladesh Navy ship that had been deployed as part of a United Nations mission, reported Bangladeshi newspaper Dhaka Tribune.
“Long live Bangladesh Lebanon friendship” was written on a banner held by the crew that arrived in Lebanon on a C-130J aircraft.
To help Lebanon, Bangladesh offered around 10 tones of humanitarian aid; 2 tons of medical supplies, eight tons of relief items, including food, in addition to 2 tons of spare parts for the ship.
Stranded Bangladeshi citizens are due to fly out on Wednesday, August 12.
