The global response to Lebanon’s disaster is massive.

Countries around the world are sending medical aid, firefighters, search and rescue teams, and helping in any way they can.

Qatar was also quick to provide urgent support to Lebanon in order to help ease the pressure off overpacked hospitals.

On Wednesday, the day after the explosion, Qatar sent four aircraft carrying field hospitals and medical aid to Beirut.

In a statement to QNA, Lebanese Foreign Minister commended the medical aid and supplies sent by Qatar to Lebanon following Beirut Port blast, praising the Arab and international support and solidarity with his country following the explosion. #QNA

Onboard, the Emiri Air Force C17 cargo plane carried over 500 collapsible beds, generators, and burn sheets.

Hospitals are still tending to thousands of injured victims. It is expected that aid by Qatar and other countries will relieve the pressure off hospitals in Beirut and the sufferings of so many wounded.

The blast killed over 100 people, left thousands injured, hundreds of thousands homeless, and too many missing. The search for survivors is still on.

A Qatari search and rescue team of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) also arrived in Beirut to help locate survivors and missing people.
