Lebanon’s declining economy is severely affecting the luxurious lifestyle its people were used to.

On a daily basis, the Lebanese are cutting off unnecessary daily items and enduring several hours of an electricity outage. But, they refuse to bow down to such harsh situations and try to enjoy Lebanon’s countless blessings.

Searching for inexpensive products and outings is no longer a taboo in Lebanon. They are being as honest as possible about finding cheap alternatives to their necessities.

So, here are a few activities you can enjoy with your friends and/or family without breaking the bank!

    #1 Visiting religious sites

Lebanon’s multicultural land never runs out of religious sites. No matter your religion, you have the right to visit locations of any heritage.

There are no entrance fees to any desired location but, there are gift shops if you want to buy a souvenir.

This “activity” will barely cost you a thing. Fuel cost is a problem? Share a ride with friends and visit these peaceful monuments.

You have access to any greenwood around here, whether it is reserved and protected by the government or not. There are no entrance fees to these forests, but donations are welcomed.

You have the option to reserve a guide to help you navigate through the forests. If your budget allows it, certain areas also have rental services of equipment for rock climbing, camping, ATVs, and snowmobiles.

However, you really don’t need to pay a cent to enjoy the forests, do you?

According to FAO, “almost 13.4% of Lebanon is forested.” So what are you waiting for? Go and connect with your Lebanese roots!

Although most of Lebanon’s coastal line is full of hotels and resorts, there are still a few free beaches that have escaped the grips of businessmen and corporates.

You will have no added expenses when you visit Tyre’s lengthy coast, for instance. There are no entrance fees to the public beach, but you can rent a table with chairs, if you wish, for a low cost.

    #4 Discover Lebanon’s Islands

This is actually a must. Lebanon has beautiful islands in Tripoli that are reachable from the coast of El-Mina by transportation boats.

Most islands aren’t reserved, so you’ll have to pay for transportation only.

On the other hand, Palm Island is reserved and requires a low entrance fee plus transportation. In both situations, you are allowed to bring food and equipment.

Trips to these beautiful islands have their unique thrill and will cost you less than business-owned beaches.

    #5 Explore Lebanon’s historical sites
