A Lebanese research company recently predicted that in the coming months, there will be around 1 million unemployed people in Lebanon. Despite that, and the many problems facing the country at the moment, some business owners believe that the show must go on.
There are many Lebanese companies and businesses, as well as NGOs based in Lebanon, that are currently hiring.
Simultaneously, it’s no secret that Lebanese people have lost faith in the employer’s ability to pay salaries on time. In addition, the dollar crisis is making it difficult for companies all over the country.
However, job openings are there and those currently without jobs must take it upon themselves to look them up and apply.
For instance, UNDP Lebanon has at the moment six positions available. Plenty of basic jobs are also available at Malak Al-Tawook that is looking to recruit for more than one of its branches.
Their job listing says, “We’re looking for several employees, for several positions, at several of our branches.”
Companies like AIY Expert Solutions based in Tripoli are often on the lookout for more staff and has currently an opening for a senior full-stack developer. The job offers between $5,000-$8,000!
Despite that many restaurant chefs have gone jobless due to the coronavirus and economic issues, some restaurants are hiring. Souk El Tayeb, for instance, has a position for a chef with excellent culinary skills. This is a great opportunity for those passionate about their craft.
Finding a job in Lebanon is not impossible. They are often posted on Facebook groups and LinkedIn.
In addition, it is important that employers make the application process easier for graduates during the crisis.
The country hasn’t gone on a total standstill. Many businesses closed down but many others are still operating, expanding, and recruiting.
