There’s a new café in town and it’s already turning heads. Sip & Sign just opened in Dbayeh, and it comes with a mission you don’t usually find at your neighborhood coffee shop.

Started by Elie Hanna, the idea behind Sip & Sign is simple: create a place where people can grab their favorite drink or snack while learning how to communicate in sign language.

The goal? To raise awareness and bridge the gap between the hearing and deaf communities in Lebanon.

They shared with us that they have plans to organize sign language workshops and events in collaboration with the deaf communities.

And don’t think it’s just about the mission (though that’s pretty amazing).

The menu is packed. We’re talking fresh croissants, sandwiches, and salads, plus a huge list of drinks – hot and iced coffees, teas, matcha, juices, smoothies, shakes, and plenty of desserts to go with them.

It’s the kind of spot where you can hang out with friends, grab something quick, or just enjoy your coffee while picking up a new way to communicate. A coffee with a cause, and yes, it tastes even better that way.

? Sip & Sign is officially open in Dbayeh as of this Saturday – follow them here.
