Youssef Rajji is an experienced Lebanese diplomat with a background in foreign relations and international cooperation.
Rajji began his education at the School of Saint George in Lebanon. He holds a Master’s degree in Political Science and Public Administration from Saint Joseph University in Beirut, along with a specialized certification in Media and Political Communication from the French Institute of Journalism at the University of Paris II. He is fluent in Arabic, English, and French.
He served as the acting chargé d’affaires at the Lebanese Embassies in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, and Seoul, South Korea. He also worked at the Lebanese Embassy in Rabat, Morocco, where he was appointed as acting chargé d’affaires during several terms, as well as consul.
Rajji also held the position of Deputy Head of Lebanon’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations and other international organizations in Geneva, Switzerland. Additionally, he served as consul at the Lebanese Embassy in Brussels, Belgium, where he was responsible for handling political affairs related to Belgium and the European Union.
Earlier in his career, Rajji worked as a Political Affairs Officer at the Lebanese Embassy in Washington, D.C., USA, and held various positions within the Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Beirut, including Director of the Secretary-General’s Office and Director of Political and Consular Affairs.
He is recognized as one of the top graduates of the Lebanese Diplomatic Corps entrance exam.
