Don’t Forget To Move Your Clocks Forward This Saturday Night

As the end of March approaches, many of us prepare to adjust our clocks forward by one hour, a sure sign that summer is near.

In light of this matter, The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers recently issued a statement reminding citizens to set their clocks forward by one hour. This serves as a timely reminder of the upcoming adjustment.

Daylight Saving (DST) maximizes daylight hours, allowing for extended outdoor activities during warmer seasons.

Lebanon typically observes DST from the end of March until the end of October, aligning with global practices.

Reflecting on last year’s experience, chaos ensued when the government announced a last-minute decision to delay the start of daylight-saving time by a month, coinciding with the end of the Muslim Holy Month of Ramadan.

The sudden change left institutions and citizens scrambling to adjust their schedules.

However, caretaker Prime Minister, Najib Mikati reverted the decision, reinstating the original plan for daylight saving time.

Although adjusting the clocks forward may mean sacrificing an hour of sleep, it also extends daylight hours, motivating individuals to partake in outdoor pursuits and relish the sunshine.

In this regard, there is an opportunity to indulge in outdoor enjoyment.
