    Three Lebanese Just Scored Winning Places At The MENA Karting Championship

    On Friday, February 14th, three Lebanese contestants won at The Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Karting Championship which had set off on Thursday, in Oman, with 46 contestants from 14 countries taking part.

    The championship included five categories: “Micro Max” with a distance of 8 km, “Mini-Max” with a distance of 9 km, “Junior Max” with a distance of 11 km, “Max” with a distance of 11 km, and the “DD2 DD2M” category with a distance of 11 km.

    The championship took place on the ring of the Oman Automobile Association, with contestants from Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Algeria, Kuwait, Jordan, Bahrain, Palestine, United Arab Emirates, Libya, Tunisia, Yemen, Qatar, and Oman. 

    As for the Lebanese winners, Christopher Feghali won the Micromax category, Matthias Njeim won second place for the category of DD2 in the overall standings and the title of The MENA Championship, while Patrick Njeim came in third for the category of DDA.

    Friday 14th was a day of sports’ triumphs for Lebanon. On that day, the Lebanese National Basketball team won the King Abdullah II tournament in Amman, Jordan, in the final match over the Jordanian team, by a score of 71-68.

    Prime Minister Hassan Diab, among other officials, expressed their pride in these victories that Lebanon has reaped on the same day.

    Diab tweeted: “Today the Lebanese flag was raised in two Arab countries. We congratulate the Lebanese basketball team in Jordan, and the victory of Matthias Njeim and Christopher Feghali in the Sultanate of Oman in the karting championship.”
