The first Lebanese Designers Exhibition was held in London by the Arab British Chamber of Commerce, honoring Lebanon’s culture and artists by displaying a variety of locally made artisan jewelry, clothes, and artwork.
The exhibition took place from December 1st to 4th in Mayfair in collaboration with the Lebanese Embassy in London.
The exhibition was centered on empowering Lebanese women by giving them a stage to showcase their entrepreneurship in one of the most well-known shopping areas in the world.
Beirut-based Nour Artisan featured a variety of hand-embroidered abayas manufactured by women who work from home and provide income for about 250 families in Lebanon. These abayas embraced traditional designs and catered to both eastern and western cultures.
A UK-based Lebanese concept store called LVNT displayed gorgeous handicrafts embracing the Levantine culture.
Give a Child a Brighter Future, a Lebanese charity headquartered in the UK, also displayed a variety of home goods, with proceeds going to the construction of the first pediatric oncology facility in southern Lebanon.
