Lebanon’s Caretaker Minister of Culture, Judge Mohammed Al Mortada, issued a new decree to promote internal tourism this coming Independence Day.

The Lebanese people celebrate their national Independence Day on November 22nd, commemorating the end of 23 years of the French Mandate over Lebanon in 1943.

The decision exempts all students in public and private schools and universities from entry fees to the National Museum of Beirut, the Beiteddine Palace, the Rashaya Castle, and all archeological sites across the country on November 21st, 22nd, and 23rd.

The decision stated that it is enough for students to show their school’s or university’s IDs and write their names in a register opened for this purpose.
