The Lebanese Army Command announced in a tweet that “the mission to search for the sunken boat was launched today off the city of Tripoli, where the submarine arrived at the sinking site and began carrying out the mission 6 nautical miles from the shore.”
The Lebanese army had postponed the mission earlier due to the high sea waves, which may threaten the safety of the submarine and its crew.
