A series of political statements were issued praising his national, political, and legislative march of the former Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Farid Makari, who passed away yesterday, after a struggle with illness.

Prime Minister Saad Hariri said: “With great sadness and sorrow, we mourn the former Deputy Speaker of Parliament, a former member of the Future Prosecution bloc, and companion in the path of martyr Prime Minister Rafik Hariri, Farid Makari.”

The head of the Marada Movement, Sleiman Frangieh said: “I lost a dear friend, and Koura lost a loyal friend and its people, and Lebanese politics lost him, seeking to bring the views closer in parliament, government and relations.”
