The Lebanese men’s basketball team for the under-18 category has won its 3rd consecutive victory in the U18 West Asia Championship 2022, defeating Iraq (92-62).
Held in the Syrian capital until next Saturday, the matches qualify for the Asian Championship, which will be hosted in Iran next month.
Since the start of the U18 West Asia Championship, Lebanon’s basketball team won all the matches against Palestine, Syria, and now Iraq, and topped the general ranking.
On Friday, the semi-finals will be held between Lebanon (1st place) and the 4th place, and between the 2nd and the 3rd, with the winners of the two semi-final matches meeting next Saturday for the final.
