This outstanding Lebanese architect and interior designer is involved in a wide range of projects in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, artistically and ingeniously fusing eastern and western cultures and past and future in her creations of arts and interior designs.
Born in Beirut in the 70s, during the civil war, Aline Asmar d’Amman has come to build a prominent name for herself in the world of Architecture, Artistic Direction, Interior Design, and Art Curation.
Conceived by art, spirituality, and total love for creation, her final studies project earned her awards from the Lebanese Ministry of Culture and the Order of Architects and Engineers of Beirut.
With her great talent booming, Aline Asmar d’Amman founded her studio Culture in Architecture in 2011 in Beirut and Paris, to “add to the poetic soul of the world” through architecture and interior design.
She has been producing a sense of nostalgia, fusing different cultures and timelines, from the past and the future.
Culture in Architecture is now initiating numerous projects, from luxury hospitality to private residences, furniture design, and scenography.
Her most recent projects include the art direction of Hotel de Crillon, a collaboration with Karl Lagerfeld’s Grand Apartments in Paris, the transformation of a London building into an urban boutique hotel, and an “intervention” on the terminal of Bahrain’s airport.
She also collaborated in the renovation of the prestigious Jules Verne restaurant in the Eiffel Tower.
The dialogue with fashion-icon Karl Lagerfeld led the Lebanese designer to pursue the studies and the development of his functional sculptures “Architectures.” That art collection is exhibited at the Carpenters Workshop Gallery in Paris, London, and New York.
She also organized the scenography of Lebanon’s pavilion at the 59th International Art Exhibition.
Aline Asmar d’Amman and her studio Culture in Architecture were also awarded the interior design and the art curation for Palazzo Donà Giovannelli in Venice.
