The multi-awarded Lebanese documentary, Enough! Lebanon’s Darkest Hour is launching a series of live and global screenings on April 9, 2022, to capture international attention.
The Lebanese-Australian film production will screen for free in cinemas in Beirut, while simultaneously streaming around the world.
The live event will take place in Beirut, the United States, South America, the United Kingdom, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Dubai, all translated into 15 different languages live.
The screening will be followed by a Q&A by Lebanese journalist Albert Kostanian, the film’s director and writer Daizy Gedeon, activist Dr. Carmen Geha, and Paul and Tracy Naggear, the parents of one of the youngest victims of the Beirut Blast.
“These events are an opportunity for the global community to come together and discuss the way forward for Lebanon,” expressed Daizy Gedeon.
“The film examines the situation in Lebanon and why voting by the diaspora in the May 15 elections is so crucial,” said the Lebanese-Australian filmmaker and journalist.
Enough! Lebanon’s Darkest Hour tackles the many challenging issues of Lebanon, including corruption, mismanagement, embezzlement of funds, and the post-war political class that brought Lebanon’s collapse.
The movie produced by Patrick Rohr has won numerous prestigious awards, including, the Movie That Matters Award at the 2021 Cannes International Film Festival, the Indie Fest Film Awards, Best Director, and Best Documentary at the Vesuvius International Film Fest.
The movie was also selected for the 11th Annual Arlington Int’l Film Festival (2021), Toronto Internationals Women Film Festival (2021), and more.
The Lebanese documentary, which will be released in cinemas in Lebanon on April 14, also features special appearances, like Elie Saab, Tom Fletcher, Frances Guy, George Khabbaz, Dr. James Zogby, and more.
