Lebanese entrepreneur Kamal Mouzawak, the founder of Souk El Tayeb and winner of this year’s Foodics Iconic Award, just opened “Tawlet” in Paris to celebrate the culinary heritage of Lebanese regions in the French capital.

Lebanon’s most iconic chef founded Tawlet in 2009 to showcase the Lebanese food heritage. It brings together local women from all over the country to cook Lebanese homemade dishes of their regions every week.

The menu changes every day depending on where the food is inspired from.

For instance, Tawlet serves meals from the Jabal region on Tuesdays, from the South on Wednesdays, from the Bekaa on Thursdays, and from Northern Lebanon on Fridays. Saturdays and Sundays are all about Beirut.

Tawlet’s concept has been a massive success in Lebanon, and it has now extended to Paris to offer the authentic home cooking of the different regions of Lebanon and their typical products, and showcase their diversity and seasons.

According to their social media posts, Tawlet Paris will serve a buffet from Tuesday to Friday spotlighting a different region of Lebanon: North, South, Bekaa, and Mountain. On weekends, there will be the Beirut Brunch for lunch and dinner.

Tawlet Paris is located on 2 Rue de la Fontaine au Roi, 75011, Paris, and has started receiving guests as of Wednesday, January 12th.

It will serve meals from Tuesday to Saturday from noon to 3 pm, and 7:30 pm to 10 pm, and Sunday from noon to 3 pm.
