    LibanPost Issues New Stamps To Honor The Lebanese Author Emily Nasrallah

    LibanPost, in collaboration with the Ministry of Telecommunications, issued a stamp to honor the late Lebanese author and activist Emily Nasrallah. The stamp costs LBP 1,250.

    Emily Nasrallah, who passed away this year, was one of the most renowned authors in the Middle East. 

    She wrote books for adults as well as for children. Her literary work mainly focuses on the village life in Southern Lebanon, women’s rights, and the Lebanese civil war.

    The Lebanese publishing house Dar Onboz published the late author’s autobiography which is titled “Al Makan” on September 5.

    The book contains letters, photos, maps, infographics, and untold personal stories, according to a source. It was launched at the Issam Fares Institute, American University of Beirut.

    Beit Touyour Ayloul Foundation turned her childhood house into a museum and a cultural center that is specialized in migration literature.

    About the author

    Emily Nasrallah was born in Al Kfeir, a village in Southern Lebanon. She was always an excellent student, and her passion for literature grew over time thanks to great professors who guided her.

    She graduated from the American University of Beirut with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and Literature.

    Emily wrote many novels and short stories about various topics. One of her most acclaimed books is the first novel she wrote which is titled Tuyur Aylul (Birds of September). This novel received three prestigious literary prizes.   

    LibanPost issues new stamps to honor Elie Saab

    LibanPost also issued new collectible stamps to celebrate Elie Saab’s international accomplishments and his commitment to Lebanon. 

    The ceremony was held under the patronage of Prime Minister Saad Hariri at the historical landmark Beit Beirut.
