An upscale restaurant located in the heart of the Eiffel Tower is set for a makeover. Le Jules Verne, a gourmet French restaurant, will be redesigned by the Lebanese architect Aline Asmar d’Amman, according to Vogue.

The prestigious eatery hosted President Emmanuel Macron, President Donald Trump, and their spouses for a Bastille Day dinner in July 2017.

The architect’s design studio, Culture in Architecture, will lead the renovation of the iconic restaurant. The venue shut its doors on September 3, and it will reveal a brand new design next spring.

“I imagine the Jules Verne to become a manifesto of French chic; a state of mind, synonym of a certain classicism, combined with a slight irreverence,” d’Amman told Vogue.

Culture in Architecture has branches in Beirut and Paris. The renowned design studio modernized Hôtel de Crillon. The historic luxury hotel dates back to 1758.

The studio is involved in projects ranging from luxury hospitality to private residential design. D’Amman also collaborated with Karl Lagerfeld, the creative director of the fashion house Chanel, on his “Grand Apartments” decor.

Le Jules Verne, which opened its doors in 1983, is going through a major makeover. Not only the design is changing, but two new chefs will be running the kitchen.

The Michelin-starred chefs Frédéric Anton and Thierry Marx won a 10-year tender to run the famous restaurant. They won against Alain Ducasse, the most-starred chef in the world.
