Paul and Tracy Najjar lost their daughter at the young age of three years and a half.

The 2,750 tons of ammonium nitrate neglected in a warehouse at the Port of Beirut, which resulted in one of the biggest non-nuclear explosions in history, took the life of Alexandra, an innocent little girl playing with a friend near the area of the port.

“This crime was caused by the corrupt Lebanese elite goes against humanity,” Tracy said in the video. “The corrupt politicians killed my daughter and killed my country.”

“After six months and a half, we are left with no truth, no justice, and no one to hold accountable,” the grieving father said.

“We are calling on the UN to immediately interfere. It’s our right and we are demanding justice,” he added.

Alexandra Najjar would have turned 4 today. She was killed in the #BeirutBlast – Her parents have been generous, loving and present in the community mind, body and soul for months even after this tremendous loss. The families of the Beirut blast victims have been demonstrating everyday against the lack of progress in the investigation since August. They staged sit-ins outside the home of former lead investigator Fadi Sawwan, and actively protested in front of the Justice Palace.

Now, newly appointed Judge Tarek Bitar is set to continue where the previous investigator left off, in hopes the Beirut blast probe could give the victim’s families some justice.
