In the Information Technology Committee:

Tony Frangieh (Marada) won the position of chairman after it was held by Nadim Gemayel (Kataeb). Meanwhile, Elias Hankash (Kataeb) won the position of rapporteur, previously held by Ziad Hawat (Lebanese Forces).

It is worth noting that the opposition MPs couldn’t secure any chairman or rapporteur position in all 16 committees. They also failed to attain any membership in the prominent committees besides Ibrahim Mneimneh who was elected as a member of the Finance and Budget Committee.

This is an indication that opposition MPs won’t be able to achieve anything on their own, and they need to cooperate with other traditional parties with views similar to theirs in order to make a difference.
